My favorite book is On the Day I Died by Candace Fleming. It is really dramatic and
just leaves you hanging non stop.
The genres I would pick are fantasy,
action, and adventure books.
I am currently reading On the Day I Died by Candace Fleming. I am
almost done with it. The book I finished before that was Flying the Dragon. It is about a girl who plays soccer and meets
some of her family members from Japan. Her grandpa is sick and the doctors in
Japan do not have the requirements for his treatment so they move to America.
That is where the story starts. Skye’s cousin Hiroshi needs to learn English
but his class is not enough. Skye needs to practice her Japanese but her
classes are too challenging for her. This causes them to tutor each other. Both
Skye and Hiroshi are mad because they do not get to do the things they want. Hiroshi
wants to participate in the Rokkaku {Kite Battle}. Skye wants to join the all-star
soccer team. Eventually, Skye and Hiroshi learn to get along. Hiroshi did get
to participate in the Rokkaku at the Cherry Blossom festival. Skye helped him
with his string. Tutoring with each other did help them. They did good on their
tests. They do find out what is wrong with their grandpa but if you want to
know what it was, you have to read it.
